Nitevibe Buzz

2008 - The year as it was...
12 months have gone by in a flash, as we turn the page on '08. Although we're dead-smack in the middle of a recession, our happy little bubble - the SF dance scene - has not shown any signs of slowing down with the opening and re-opening of new venues. The underground scene, led by promoters and DJs like DJ Rooz, has provided many nights of unforgettable memories. On the streets, SF LoveFest reached a record number of revelers who took over Civic Center and City Hall in a dance revelation. 2nd Sunday had one of its best seasons, consistently bringing in top international talent. On the fashion front, Irene of Chillin' Productions continued to push the boundaries of urban fashion and art. Correspondents of Nitevibe did extensive field research venturing high, low and far to bring you coverage from Detroit's Electronic Music Festival, Miami's WMC and Burning Man. After nearly a decade of recommending and covering the hottest under & above ground parties, Nitevibe is honored and proud to be your go-to guide. You know we'll keep exposing and pushing the scene forward, but first we need a freakin' break. We're taking the first week of the year off, but we'll be back on Jan. 13th for our 370'th issue. Soon after we'll be announcing the start of our 7th Annual Top10 DJDreamteam Poll. Plus we'll be unveiling Nitevibe's new look. So with that, we leave you with the Year as it was… 2008 Year Book photo gallery. (SK)
